Just wondering if anyone has a simple example of creating a gridview
completely programmatically, i'm not doing anything terribly sophisticated.
When creating the gridview declaratively evertying works fine, however
programmatically, while the grid will display data that exsists in the
database, any operation on the data ( editing/updating/deleting ) seems to
cause a rowdeleting/updating etc error. Or is this simply not meant to be
done?

I'm not using SqlDataSource or ObjectDataSource. I'm handling events ,
similar to approach commonly used in 1.1. DataGrid.
My question is : How do I configure a GridView's edit mode row format ?
Here is my aspx :
<asp:GridView ID="gvTasks" runat="server" AllowSorting="true"
BackColor="Aqua"

I have a GridView with a couple of TemplateFields. When I click the update
link the Gridview returns to display mode with no errors but the data from
bound text fields or dropdown list isn't updated in the table. I'm stumped
and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks much.

Hi
I have a FormView that contains a GridView. The GridView is populated
from an ObjectDataSource. Two of the columns in the GridView are not
bound, and the values used in Update mode come from dropdowns (inside
of ItemTemplates).
In my ObjectDataSource, I have Parameters for the bound fields, and
ControlParameters for the DDLs. I cannot seem to access the DDLs since
they are so nested. I've tried:

hello,
based on a client login I call a GridView that presents the appropriate
questionnaire for that person. I added three columns (template fields)
to the gridview that are radiobuttons. The client has to choose one
radiobutton per row (either YES, NO, or PERHAPS). Yes would have a
value of 1, No 2, perhaps 3.
1) I need to restrict the choice to one of the three radiobuttons ?
2) Need to insert the client's choice for every row in...

OS: WinXP Pro, VB/ASP/ADO.NET
I'm building a web-based supplier management application. For each supplier we are required by the FDA to track certain documents. I've managed to pull them from Access into a Gridview (Gridview1), in which I have AutoGenerateEditButton set to True.
What I want is this: when a user clicks "Edit" on a line and it goes to edit mode, I want to grab the supplier's category (4th column of the grid, named...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
