I found out that only using winform I can use the winword interop and
generate word document in the client machine and connect to a remote
database, so that I have made a winform application which accesses
winword on the client and a remote db.
Afterwards I wanted to use the no touch deployment but the winform
cannot anymore start winword on the client, and I get a security
exception.
Does that mean that I cannot use no touch deployment...

My client's project consists of about 6 files maintenance programs that uses
WinForm and grid for updates with lookup finders for each file. There is
also a User file and security. There are also about 6 fairly standard
reports. This project is supposed to be done in C# Winform with ADO.net and
using MSDE, ActiveReports.Net. I had judged that it would take maybe a
month to do the system. Number of users at 1 time should not exceed 10....

Dear All,
We are developing applications in ASP.Net...in one of our
applications we would like to use a GridControl...we have tried to use
a Server-Side Grid control but found the speed to be an issue...also
our clients would like to use a lot of client side events like
sorting, searching text, save each row on tab out of a row, use the
auto correct feature...
after intial r&d we feel that using a Grid Control in WinForms would
be a...

I have set <identity impersonate="true" /> on my webservice, and created a
proxy user Credential cache in my Winform App inorder to access the service
running on Server 2003. What my issue is:
I have to grant the User defined in my credential cache administrator access
for this to work.
If I create low rights user I get 401 unauthorized exceptions. Even though
the source folder has r/w access by everyone.
If I use the regular...

I need to attach to aspnet_wp.exe in order to debug a web serivice from
WinForm client. Why don't I have to do this for ASP.NET / WebForm client?
Why doesn't VS.NET debugger attaches automatically? Can I configure it?
Thanks,

Hi,
In my current project, I need to embed an .NET winform usercontrol in
the aspx page (via <Objecttag). This winform usercontrol has an
event called DoEvent (void DoEvent()). This winform usercontrol will
fire this event upon certain action by the user. I tried to let the
aspx page subscribe to this event via
<script for="winObj1" event="DoEvent()" language="javascript">
window.alert("window control event happen!");

Hello,
I have created a solution which has both a web UI and a winform UI, the
latter is just for administrators. The Web UI (a Web Application Project)
and the winform project both reference the same BLL in a separate assembly,
and I have all three projects in a single solution file for development,
with the two UI's each having a project reference to the BLL assembly. I
created a Setup and Deployment package for the winform app...

We are building a multipane C# winform application with three panes. The
anchored left pane will be the menu, center pane data entry, and right pane
advisory information. The customer has requested there be only ONE scrollbar
per page. IOW, if the menu needs to scroll, it will use the single scrollbar
anchored on the right and all three panes will scroll. Same with the data
pane... meaning if it needs to scroll the menu pane will scroll out...

I work with VS2005 and .NET FW ver. 3.0.
I need to implement 3 to 4 panes in my form application.
Is that possible?
Is there a way for the user to configure in real time (the pane number)?
Is there some reference or a sample anywhere in the Internet that is close
to that?
Regards
Ronny
