Hi!
In our company we have a huge amount of COBOL sub-routines that are
called from other COBOL-programs.
Now we are looking for a method to call them from Windows/Web
applications.
One idea is to wrap the sub-routine call in a DB2 stored procedure and
call the procedure from our Web application.

I am using SQL Server 2000 as the back-end. I have created a stored
procedure in SQL server called usp_AddContract. This Stored procedure
inserts a new contract into a contracts table. I have tested the code in
Enterprise Manager and it works correctly. At the time that I run the SP I
pass a contract number and a SSN to the SP and it creates a new contract in
the contracts table with a unique value in the ConNum field and SSN field.

SourceSafe 6.0 to maintain version control for Stored Procedures.

Using Visual Studio 2003 you were able to manage SQL stored procedures with
Visual Source Safe. So long as Visual Studio was used as the editor, it was
imposible to make a change to a stored procedure without first checking it
out. And once the changes were complete, the stored procedure was checked
back into Visual Source Safe. This process worked great.
But I can't see how to achieve the same level of control using Visual Studio
2005?...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
