Hi! In our company we have a huge amount of COBOL sub-routines that are called from other COBOL-programs. Now we are looking for a method to call them from Windows/Web applications. One idea is to wrap the sub-routine call in a DB2 stored procedure and call the procedure from our Web application.

I am using SQL Server 2000 as the back-end. I have created a stored procedure in SQL server called usp_AddContract. This Stored procedure inserts a new contract into a contracts table. I have tested the code in Enterprise Manager and it works correctly. At the time that I run the SP I pass a contract number and a SSN to the SP and it creates a new contract in the contracts table with a unique value in the ConNum field and SSN field. In...

The most helpful thing is, there is a synchrinization link between the SQL 2000 Server and the VSS Database, we...

Using Visual Studio 2003 you were able to manage SQL stored procedures with Visual Source Safe. So long as Visual Studio was used as the editor, it was imposible to make a change to a stored procedure without first checking it out. And once the changes were complete, the stored procedure was checked back into Visual Source Safe. This process worked great. But I can't see how to achieve the same level of control using Visual Studio 2005?...

The intention is to call a stored proceedure which sets flags in the database, this requires no parameters and the page does not need an output from the stored proceedure, though is this is necessary I could change that. Here is the code I am using: Dim objcom2 = New Data.OracleClient.OracleCommand With objcom2 .Connection = objcnn

I made my connection to the database using the same connection string as I used to view the databse in server explorer. (In server explorer I see all stored procedures). I then go through the wizard and choose "Specify a custom SQL Statement or Stored Procedure." Then...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
