Hello,
I'm running an ASPX application "WebApplication1" which
consumes a web service (service1.asmx) hosted on a machine
with IP (128.1.7.x) . The web service is located in the
intranet.
The web methods can be invoked successfully
if "WebApplication1" is located in machines with the same
subnet (128.1.7.x).
However, it fails if "WebApplication1" is hosted on

Wsdl.exe /server creates abstract class derived from WebService. Is there a
way to create this class at runtime based on some WSDL file given at runtime
? What would be even better - creating concrete class but with empty method
implementation of course since WSDL does not provide any info on
implementation.
Thanks
M.

Hi all,
I've read all posts from all existing threads and none of them worked
to solve my problem, although its exactly the same. I'll try to
explain my case and see if a kind soul could help me out:
I've a win32 service in C# on a client machine A, which accesses a WS

Web Services make use of proxy classes whose methods & properties are
accessed in exactly the same way as how a normal class' methods &
properties are accessed. So what for does ASP.NET generate proxy
classes (using WSDL) which consume more hard disk space & resources?
For e.g. consider the following code which exists in a user-defined
class file:
Imports System
Imports System.Data

Firstly let me be very clear about this, I do not want to create a web
service proxy nor do I want to do anything with web services.
Basically, I have a shrink wrapped desktop application which downloads
data from a web site. Unfortunately the application has a fixed
timeout and the web server regularly exceeds this, causing the
application to shut the connection and subsequently not receive any
data. The desktop application also uploads...

I wrote a VS 2005 C# express programme that accesses a web service. It works fine when there's a
direct connection to the internet, but on two different PCs with internet access via a proxy, I get
this exception:
System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authentication Required.

I am developing an application using WPF and WCF. This app on the
server side will need for WCF services hosted in IIS6 to communicate
with WCF services that are hosted as Windows services on the same server
/ or network. Also the WCF services hosted in IIS6 has to communicate
with the WPF client apps that will be installed on computers that are
not in the same network as the server/s. Right now I am creating small

Hi all,
I have an asp.net 2.0 website that accesses a locally hosted web service.
This works fine on servers that are connected to our network. However, I am
having a problem with a laptop server that I have built. The code that tries
to connect to the web service breaks if the laptop is not within our
network. Further debugging has revealed that this is due to a proxy server
issue. Our domain sets the proxy server via GPO for all...

I am trying to generate a client proxy from a WCF service library. I am using VS2005, .NET 3.0 on a Windows XP Pro workstation. The WCF service is hosted in a windows service. When I run the windows service as a console application, there are no problems. I can run svcutil.exe against that address and it generates the proxy. However, when I compile that service in release mode, and install it on the workstation using InstallUtil, I get an error...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
