Hello,
I have an issue here. Hope someone can help me.
Issue:
Developer is using a web application from one server (IIS) (say Server A).
A second server (say Server B, which is SQL Server 2000) hosts the stored procedures.
The SQL datawarehouse is hosted on a third server (say Server C ,which is SQL Server 2000)
and contains allof the data.

I downloaded the attached code from MS. It flips on the "User Cannot Change
Password" on a user in AD and works great from a console or
windows app, but when put into an ASP.NET app I get a "The security ID
structure is invalid." error when trying to assign the new security
descriptor. I am running in Windows Authentication mode with IIS set to
Integrated security on an XP box.
Does anyone have a work around for this?
Thanks in...

Hi
I am trying to create a webform that connects to an Access database.
If I use the connection string:
"Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\Gizmo\Gizmo.mdb"
Then the application connects to the database and downloads data fine but
when I try to fire an Update command I get the following error:
"Problem firing System.Data.OleDb.OleDbCommand - Operation must use an
updateable query"

Our company's web server is trying to access graphics files on another
server. When I run the app from Visual Studio (1.0) on my localhost,
the server in question is available (which is accessed a virtual
directory) and I'm able to display the files. However, when we logon
to the intranet through a browser, and click the link which will
display the files, we get the "Enter Network Password" logon box. We
set the proper permissions on...

Hi all,
When I tried reading user command from console, I use "select" to wait
for user input in order to improve efficiency. But when it comes to
dealing with user pasting a command, there is a problem. Only the first
character of the pasted command can be displayed. But the command is
actually there, if you typed any one more key, the whole pasted command
will be displayed. Here is the code. Do you have any way to get through
this?...

I am trying to call SP_Password from some vb.net code. This should be
very straight forward but no matter what I do, I keep getting errors.
Here is the code
strConnectString = "Data Source=" + strServer + ";Initial
Catalog=master;user id=" + strID + ";password=" + strOldPass + ";"
Conn.ConnectionString = strConnectString
Conn.Open()

My setup: Mac OS 10.4.4; mysql 4.x ... everything was installed and
working fine for some time. Today, I added drupal to my system and had
to create a new database in mysql -- now I am having some problems. I
will outline the problem, what I have tried to do to fix it, and what I
think caused it. Hope you can help and I am sorry this is long.
The problem: I can't login to mysql anymore with the "root" username

Hi,
we've got a strange problem here:
We've created an ASP.NET 2.0 web application using Membership.ValidateUser()
to manually authenticate users with our website.
The problem is: If the user has the "User must change password" flag set in
Active Directory, ValidateUser() always returns false if that user wants to
log in.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
