I've been working on a script that finds and updates a record in

can change this limit by specifying a new value for the propert
Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administratio

Hi,
Maybe this is an easy task, but I'm having a really hard time figuring
out how to do this. I'm a complete newbie to SQL Server.
I have a database dump file from MySQL that's in .sql format. I'm
trying to figure out how to import that into SQL Server 2000 so that
I'll be able to manipulate it in a gui format, rather than command
line. I can't find any import that takes a .sql file. I've been
trying to load it into the query...

When you create database diagrams in Enterprise Manager, the details
for constructing those diagrams is saved into the dtproperties table.
This table includes an image field which contains most of the relevant
infomation, in a binary format.
SQL Enterprise manager offers no way to script out those diagrams, so
I have created two Transact SQL components, one User Function and one
User Procedure, which together provide a means to script...

I am working on an ASP page that writes to several databases, ranging
from MDBs to x-base.
One of the tasks involves using an existing highest value from the DB
and incrementing it before inserting a new record.
I am using Application.Lock and .Unlock together with an application
variable to negotiate access to the DB routine to one session (user)
at a time. This is to ensure that the ID numbers are cleanly
incremented, and that no...

I'm adding and updating records in an Access .mdb via WWW .asp page.
Authored in Dreamweaver 2004 MX.
Help is welcome on this one. I have a great set of pages that work
fine, but it seems that insert or update pages don't always work now
on some records . . .
It seems that when lots of text is shoved into a memo fields the
database ID for that record gets messed up. Intial record insertion
goes OK, but updating is then hosed.

Hello all,
I know that this is a long shot, but I have a problem which someone
reading this group *may* just be able to shed some light on.
We have a new internal personnel planner/attendance system in place. It
uses a web interface to allow members of staff to select their site
location for any week, request leave and record absences.
The server-side scripting is composed of VB/ASP and Javascript which

Good morning, all.
I am creating an Access 2002 application to run on XP clients and I'm struggling with the task of testing whether a single-field record exists before allowing the user to add it to a look up table. I considered creating a unique index on the field in the table, but the users here would not know how to handle the error message. From there, I moved to creating a recordset that tests for the presence of a matching record...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
