email sending in ASP.NET using Redemption

2 New Member
Hi,

I am doing a program in which I send emails from ASP.net page, the mail server used is exchange server. I am using Redemption COM so that I can send email with voting buttons, Redemption works with MS Outlook.
My problem is that when I am doing so locally it is running and exchange server is asking for password (which is exchange server authentication) , but when same is deployed at IIS, its not asing for password and login is failing.
I am using XP Operating System and Mail server is Exchange Server 2003 and Microsoft Outlook 2003. and Language is ASP.NET with C# on .Net framework 2.0.

Thanks in Advance.

I have a Access database application that sends email through Outlook. A few years ago we started having a problem where it would ask for each and every email being sent whether you want to give access to your email addresses in outlook and then something about sending mail on your behalf. Anyway we purchased software called Outlook Redemption. The thing is we are having some problem with that software now and I had heard that with...

I am sending email via access. Outlook now blocks me with following message: A program is trying to automatically send e-mail on your behalf. Do you want to allow this. I must click yes for every email. Is there a registry setting to change this. Or in outlook or in access ? Thanks Alfred

Right guys. (I would like a solution to this in VB6 as this is what our needy app is written in, but any solutions that involve .NET would be much appreciated likewise as I could instantiate them, otherwise please forgive the crossposting.) I'm sure I've seen posts here before criticising the practice of automating outlook for the purpose of programatically sending email, on the grounds that it's naff. Well now we're really landed in...

Hi Everbody Access 2000, Windows XP, Outlook 2000, When I open my database it is set to attach to my Outlook 2000 Inbox. So far so good..... The attaching procedure works OK and I am able to see my Outlook 2000 Inbox........Which I can view as a table, within my Access 2000 database.

What is a good way to send emails from Access, other than using Outlook? FMS has an email app for access, but it seems a bit over priced for just sending out emails from Access.

Hi, I have a problem with Outlook Redemption, every time I'm trying to create a new RDOAddressBook: Redemption.RDOAddressBook AB = new RDOAddressBook(); I get: "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {...GUID...} failed due to the following error: 80040154." I tried to reregister the Redemption DLL but I still get this exception... My OS is win server 2003 sp1 it may be the problem?

I want to convert rfc822 (.eml) files to MAPI (.msg) files. I do not need to log in to Outlook to retrieve the messages, since the messages have all been downloaded from the exchange server and are sitting in a folder. I also do not need to save the converted file (.msg) to outlook. I merely need to convert the files from .eml to .msg and store the new .msg file in the same directory where I have the .eml files. How do I use...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
