.NET Framework 1.1.4322 and Vista

I am trying to install this Mahjong program on my HTC TyTn Pocket PC. The
installer is run on the PC - it installs
perfectly under XP and Active Sync.

http://www.smartmahjongg.com/index.html

I am now running Vista Home Premium and Mobile Device Centre and when I try
to install it, it tells me I do not have .NET Framework 1.1.4322 installed
on my PC and prompts me to download it. If I say yes Vista says it is the
wrong version and will not install.

Any suggestions?

Look in C:\Windows\Micr osoft.Net\Frame work\ to see what versions of the
Framework you have installed. Is v1.1.4322 there? If not, you need to
download it and install it.

Let me correct myself. I just made this mistake. I looked on my Vista VM
and saw the folder, and assumed.

Look *IN* the folder. Mine only has 2 files. It's not the whole .Net 1.1
framework.

Problem solved! Even though the Net 1.0 folder exists in Vista and there are
files in there it is not the COMPLETE 1.0 install. It has to be installed
again!

This has not yet been published by Microsoft. It will be published within the next few weeks, mainly because I asked them to. I felt this was information badly needed, and I think this is the best group to share this information. A co-worker and I were able to determine how to tell exactly what version of .NET Framework is installed. We had to do this because we had to manually deploy the MS05-004 Security Bulletin to thousands of...

At the bottom of the default Error page that appears when Unhandled Exceptions occur, what exactly is the difference between the "Microsoft ..Net Framework Version" and the "ASP.NET Version"? I understand that the ASP.Net version is the version of ASP.Net that the current site is running under and it can be retreived with System.Environment.Version.ToString. What exactly is the Microsoft .NET Framework Version that is displayed? It is...

I'm using Vista, which by default ships with .NET Runtime 3.0. I have also installed VS 2005, which has both runtime and SDK for .NET 2.0. Every now and then, I bump into applications which require older .NET frameworks, such as 1.0 or 1.1. A nice trick I learned previously was to monitor the setup for registry access (using a tool such as "Process Monitor"). This showed me that such apps require a special key in the registry which if...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
