delay in retrieving values through session

18 New Member
hi all,
i have a web site that has a tree view, and in this view i have a lot of web sites, so in the defaul page you can choose a value from a drop down list, i did transfer this value in a session to the other pages. now the process is i need to choose first the value from the drop down list and then click on the link in the tree view to see the result of the web page, but if i click directly on the web page i see nothing because the value of the drop down list needed to query the database.
what i want is thet when you open the page you can see the result the first time, not choose the value from the drop down list( there is a value the first time the page load) it seems not reading it till the next time i choose another value. i hop if i can load the value of the default page first so ehrn i click on the page in the tree view i can see the results and the values.
i hop i'm making myself clear.

any help will be very appreciated.
thanks

Hello All, I have been researching newsgroups and knowledgebase all morning and not found a solution that would solve the problem I have. I am having an ASP or ASPX web page that implement a counter functionality and read/insert some data in a MS Access database on that Windows 2003 server. The weird part is, as long as the web page is very short in size, I can hit the refresh button and Internet Explorer will reload the page and display...

Hello, I am in the midst of converting an Access back end to SQL Server Express. The front end program (converted to Access 2003) uses DAO throughout. In Access, when I use recordset.AddNew I can retrieve the autonum value for the new record. This doesn't occur with SQL Server, which of course causes an error (or at least in this code it does since there's an unhandled NULL value). Is there any way to retrieve this value when I add a...

I'm able to...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
