stop error codes

i've had my computer for 1 week and i've already had to re formate 4 times. I
keep getting a KERNEL_DATA_INP AGE_ERROR
The bugcheck is (0x0000007a (0xe15a48e8, 0xc000000e, 0xbf914cd9, 0x148a3860)
in Win32k.sys where 0xC000000E i looked up this error and i don't understand
what i'm supposed to do. \it says not to change the IDE code but i don't know
what that is....and it mentions a _STM but again this means nothing to me. i
have run every virus scan (avg) and spy ware i can find can anyone help.

I know this is a recurring discussion (I've spent the last 3 days reading through threads on the topic), but I feel compelled to start it up again. After reading through the existing threads, I find myself convinced that exceptions are a better mechanism, for example because constructors and operators can't return errors, and code that...

"Load" and "Load2" are bound to "Include" while "Main" accesses variable from "Include". I can only modify one source code before C++ compiler can be able to compile one source code at this time so it does not need to recompile all unmodified source codes. If I add or modify one header code, it causes C++ Compiler to recompile all unmodified...

Hi, One of the disadvantages of using error handling with error codes instead of exception handling is that error codes retuned from a function can be forgotten to check thus leading to unexpected run-time problems. Exceptions on the other hand can not be simply ignored. In order to solve this error codes problem I suggest using error...

Hi, There is code in Alison Balter's excellant "Mastering Access 2003" to create a list of error codes and descriptions but it only generates error messages 3 through 94. Is there a website with a list of all of the error messages (with descriptions?). Thanks, -paul

Hi,pythoners: I countered some problems when I try to stop threads using flag. These are my some important codes: ##### mythread.py def run(self): while self.addr != '': ### text waiting for processing if not self.CONTINUE: ### flag for thread ,means to exit the RUN func or not

{ int i = 2; } int i = 1; There is no 'i' defined in the 'parent' context from the moment of declaration on. So what is the problem? They tell us they pursue language simplicity. The rule "do not define a variable more than once in the same context" is natural, and simplest therefore. All normal languages obey it therefore....

Hi. (crossposted because the program is in C++ and some C++-related elements are discussed, hence comp.lang.c++, plus general program design questions are asked, hence comp.programming.) I'm making this bignum package in C++. I'm wondering though on how to handle the errors. Right now most operations routines return error codes if they...

Before anything else, I am not a very technical expert when it comes to VBA coding. I learned most of what I know by the excellent Access/VBA forum from bytes.com (formerly thescripts.com). Ergo, I will be writing this article intended for those who are in the same level, or maybe lower, of my technical knowledge. I would be using layman's...

Hi, I would like to have someone comments on what's the best practice defining error codes in C. Here's what I think: solution A: using enum pros: type safe. better for debug (some debugger will show the name not only the value) cons: enum can not be forward declared which makes all error codes

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
