I noticed that the current Bootstrapper plugin uses back
level Net 1.1 (no service pack) Is there a new
BootStrapper plugin that uses the Net 1.1 SP1??
Or how can I modify the current BootStrapper to change
out to the new Net 1.1 SP1?

When using bootstrapper to install the .net framework (in Visual Studio
2003) the setup.exe icon is broken. It seems to be consistent in all my
projects.
Without bootstrapper, the setup icon appears as expected.
Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?
TIA

Hi,
I am using the bootstrapper plug in with Visual Studio 2003 to deploy
an application. I am checking both for .net frameworks and MDAC and
setting them up using the launch conditions and search target machine
as documented works fine. If I look in the settings.ini after building
the setup, I see that BootstrapMdac setting is appropriately set to
true. Now, my problem is if I add another condition and search for

I have moved my ClickOnce installation to another directory, and hence I
have to update my setup.exe bootstrapper. I used the -url command to change
the embedded URL, but I got a message that changing the URL will invalidate
the signature.
Is there a way to re-sign the bootstrapper?
Thanks.

I'm writing a new install as a setup and deployment project. I have 3
pre-requisites set in the bootstrapper - Framework V2, SQL Express, Windows
Installer 3.1. When the setup is launched, it immediately recognizes which
items aren't installed and prompts with the appropriate license agreements
for each product needed. What I need is to find a way to inform my users of
what is happening before just flashing new EULA's in front of them -...

Hi All
I downloaded Sql server 2005 express SP2 and attempted to modify the
Bootstrapper package files as I did with SP1
When i try to install SQL server as part of my VS 2005 deployment app I get
an error at the end of the SQL server install phase 'Invalid endpoint'.
(Note SQL server express gets installed OK)
If I run SQL server express SP2 setup directly it I don't get the error

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
