dynamic ref and 'object not set to an instance of an object'

I have a web service that has been working, but I recently changed it
so that the reference would be dynamic. Locally, within Visual Studio,
it works fine. However, once deployed, the dll I use to access it has
trouble. I get a null reference exception and figure it's because of
the change to dynamic url.
I noticed in the discovery file and the wsdl file that the old
reference (to localhost) is still there. What do they need to be in
order to get this null reference thing resolved and to work with a
dynamically set url?

Your assumption about what's causing this may not be correct. A dynamic URL
is meant to be set from the application's config file. If the entry is not
found in the config file, it is meant to default to the URL from the WSDL
file. It should _not_ be throwing a NullReferenceEx ception due to dymanic
URL.

You should go use standard troubleshooting techniques to determine why
you're seeing the NullReferenceEx ception.

I have determined that inside the proxy, it is erroring when it does
Me.Invoke.
The specific exception is
"object reference not set to an instance of an object". It's not
making it to the webservice. However, running inside VIsual Studio. it
works fine.
ANd the config is set correctly.

What else should I be looking at?

I'm working on a "TempFile" class that stores the data in memory until it gets larger than a specified threshold (as per PEP 42). Whilst trying to implement it, I've come across some strange behaviour. Can anyone explain this? The test case at the bottom starts a TempFile at size 50 and prints its type. It then increases the size to the threshold at which point "self" is changed to being a TemporaryFile. It seems that the next call...

Good Morning All, What we have is a dynamic business object that has varying numbers and types of properties. What it models is a generic saleable product. Not all products have the same properties. For instance, if you were selling software you wouldn't have a color, if you were selling vases you wouldn't have a file size. So, even though they are all generic products, they have specialized properties. I know you're thinking...

I've got an instance of a class, ex : b=gtk.Button() I'd like to add methods and attributes to my instance "b". I know it's possible by hacking "b" with setattr() methods. But i'd like to do it with inheritance, a kind of "dynamic subclassing", without subclassing the class, only this instance "b" ! In fact, i've got my instance "b", and another class "MoreMethods"

Hi, This is my first attempt at new classes and dynamic python, so I am probably doing something very stupid... After reading the how-to for descriptors at http://users.rcn.com/python/download/Descriptor.htm I decided I would make an object that returns attributes on read, but on setting calls an arbitrary function. My code looks like: class ActiveDAO(object):

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
