I am unable to Debug my .exe application

1 New Member
Hi,

Basically, My application is a service, developed in VC++, but I registered as Server. Now I am trying to debug it.

The problem is “Debuging is hanging and throwing “First-Chance Exception” “

I am doing the following steps.

1) Registered mySVR as server with /RegServer option

2) I kept break point at valid code.
3) Then started debugging. But it is throwing “First-chance exception in mySvr.exe (KERNEL32.DLL): 0x000006EF: (no name).” in 6.0 Version in .Net Version it is showing like this "First-chance exception at 0x7c812a5b in EdcSvr.exe: 0x000006EF: A null context handle was passed from the client to the host during a remote procedure call."

Can any one help me on this ASAP.

Thanks
---------

Hi, I am developing a Windows application with C# in Visual Stuio .NET. My application references three assemblies that are developed in another project. I have added these assemblies as references, so that when I compile the project, the dll files and corresponding pdb files are are automatically copied to the bin\debug directory of my application. When I look at the Modules window during debugging, it seems that the debug symbols for...

I have installed SQL Server 2000 with VS 2005 - did not install SqlExpress\Sql 2005. I have a remote Sql Server Instance locally. The normal application connectes to this Sql Server. When I run Asp.Net Configuration from VS 2005 it gives this error. I have removed 'LocalSqlServer' in machine.Config and added in web.config as following.

Hi, I'm using vs2k5 vc++ (native/unmanaged). I just took a separate copy of a project from source control (vss) and after fixing its dependencies build it and it builds fine. But when I try to run the exe it reports the following strange message: --------------------------- myapp.exe - Unable To Locate Component --------------------------- This application has failed to start because MSVCP80D.dll was not found.

Hello, I'm using an executable (for which I do not have the source code nor the pdb file) as the startup application to load a DLL I'm writing and need to debug. If I try to debug the DLL I immediately get the error "Unable to start debugging. Unable to start program XXX.exe". If I do "Start without debugging" my startup application gets correctly executed. Is this problem due to the fact I'm missing the debugging information for the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
