Hello,
I'm new to using Crystal Reports and have run into a problem.
I'm currently designing a new database for a company. The front end
application is being coded in C# using Visual Studio.Net 2003 with
Crystal Reports. The back end is Microsoft SQL Server. I would really
like to use my report and have it pull information from the strongly
typed dataset in the project, this however results in the user being
prompted to log in to tables and regardless of the information given,
eventually fails. I switched it to using the back end database itself
and set the login information. It still prompts for 3 of the many
tables, but it will accept the information and show the report. The
report does not contain any data however as soon as I set a filter.
For example: I have a table of orders. I'm trying to print a specific
order. selectFormula is a private string in the form and shipment is a
public report, both are initialized when the form loads. When I set:
selectFormula = "{Quotes.QuoteI D} = " + QuoteNoBox.Text ;
//QuoteNoBox.Text is the order number
shipment.Record SelectionFormul a = selectFormula;
shipment.Refres h();
at the time of printing, I get a blank report.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Let me know if you need any more
information.
Thanks,

Hey all,
I am trying to try get a crytal report running properly. A "Hello World"
report that does not add criteria to the record selection formula of the
report (either in the development tool, or in the code) works fine.
However, when I try to add any parameter through the record selection
formula and/or the report parameters method, the report crashes.
I have tried each of the methods:

I have a crystal report that works fine when run through Crystal, which
I am triying to incorporate into a crystal report viewer. The report
takes 1 parameter, which is either 0 or 1. If the paremeter is 1 then a
filter is placed onto the data by the database server (Oracle PL/SQL
procedure in a package), parameter is 0 then it doesn't use the filter.
When I run this with the filter on the program works fine and the
report is displayed,...

Hi all,
While I use the ReportDocument of vb.net to set filter to the data to the
Crystal Report, it is successful for the first time while running the
program. However, for the second time while running the program, when I set
filter to other set of data, all the data is lost.
Please help.
Thanks a lot,
Ray

Dear Bernie,
Yes, if the same pfieldname is used. The same data will be filtered. But
I only use the code shown you before. I have not used any dataset or
datatable. How to fix the problem?
Thanks a lot,
Ray

I have the following situation in a VB.Net App I am working on:
1.)A report created in VS.Net 2003 using the CR.Net component of VS 2003.
2.)The datasource for the report is a Stored Proc in a SQL Server DB (pull
method).
3.)The Stored Proc has two input parameters of type date.
4.)The Stored Proc is a rather complex proc that was not written by me, but
does work(see next item). It currently returns about 13K rows of data.
5.)The...

hello,
i have an .RPT file that i am using to load a report via the ASP.NET
CrystalReportViewer control. i dont include my .RPTs as embedded
resources...instead i load the absolute path of the .rpt (on the file
system) to the control's ".ReportSource" property. i do this because i
like to move new versions of the reports w/o having to rebuild the
site.
then i pass in filter criteria to the control's ".SelectionFormula"

Okay so I've been tearing my hair out for weeks over this issue. What I have is a Crystal Report that's showing a table pulled from an Access Database. The database is a HUGE pile of junk and it has a text based Date field!! Unbelievable.
This causes my Crystal Report a bunch of problems as I have to convert the date text data to date and compare it to the user inputted date to find records between the inputted dates. All would be swell if...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
