Statistics library

Hi,

Does anyone know of a free/open source statistic/mathematics library
for .net (c# in specific)?
I have found several commercial ones such as "WebCab Probability and
Statistics", "Extreme Optimization Statistics Library" and
"NMath Stats 2.1".

Thanks for your help!

I have written a script to find the modules which export the largest number of names. The gc.getreferrers(*objs) function gives also an idea of the dependencies between the modules. The code (statsmod.py) : #!/usr/bin/env python # -*- coding: latin-1 -*- """

Hello group. I have an issue, which has bothered me for a while now: I'm wondering why the column statistics, which SQL Server wants me to create, if I turn off auto-created statistics, are so important to the optimizer? Example: from Northwind (with auto create stats off), I do the following:

Hi, I wonder if there is a simple library or set of functions for basic statistical functions, like what may be on a pocket calculator, without getting into linking into the language runtimes of the S or R languages. For example I just want mean, median, mode, variance, and stuff, and then the stuff that follows from that. Maybe, something midrange between (x+y) / 2 and SAS/Spss/... statlib? libstat? stat lib stat,

Last year, Paul Bristow proposed a series of mathematical functions to be added to the C and C++ standard libraries. I have implemented this proposal, and I would be interested in knowing what happened to this proposal in the standards discussion. References: Reference: ISO/IEC IS 14882:1998(E) For the implementation just download the lcc-win32

Hi, I'm facing the problem of analyzing a memory allocation dynamic and object creation dynamics of a very big C++ application with a goal of optimizing its performance and eventually also identifying memory leaks. The application in question is the Mozilla Web Browser. I also have had similar tasks before in the compiler construction area. And it is easy to come up with many more examples, where such kind of statistics can be very...

Hi We have a large class library of different classes, now we are going to implement a lot of usage statistics that we need, stuff like how many times a user has logged in, how many times a message has been read, how many times a ad has been shown and so on. Now I'm wondering what would be a good OO organization of this data, should the statistics be part of the objects they are for, or should statistics be seperate. Perhaps each object...

In last week's Tip, I showed you how to use the ISAMStats Method of the DBEngine (DAO) to return vital statistics concerning Query executions such as: Disk Reads and Writes, Cache Reads and Writes, and Locks placed and released. As promised, in this week's Tip I'll demonstrate how to accomplish parallel functionality within the context of ADO using the OpenSchema Method of the Connection Object. We indicate to the OpenSchema Method that we...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
