Visual Studio.NET 2002 Setup and deployment projects will not build

I thought I would try a simple setup project, but when I tried to build
it, it could not find the MsiLoader.Bin file at the location below:

C:\Documents and Settings\Roger\ Desktop\Program ming\Setup1\Set up1.vdproj
Could not find file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
..NET\Common7\T ools\Deployment \.\MsiRedist\10 33\MsiLoadr.Bin ' 'No such
interface supported'
The file is there though, but not at that path. It is in the location:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio
..NET\Common7\T ools\Deployment \MsiRedist\1033

Why does it look in the wrong place and how do I tell the compiler to
look in the correct directory? I looked for a place to set the
directory, but I could not find it.

I am currently taking a college course in Visual Basic.Net and I am a beginner. I bought Visual Studio.Net 2003 to do my homework at home. I built my first project and e-mailed it to myself at school. When I tried to open it in the lab, I got a message saying I couldn't open it because it was created with a newer version. Evidently the lab is using Visual Studio.Net 2002. My professor doesn't just want the executable file, he wants...

The good news: Along with Python-2.4 comes really good news to Windows users. Yes, you now CAN build extension modules yourself using the SAME C++ compiler and linker Python is built with itself. Everything you need is available at no costs (except download hassle and installation time). Once your system is set up properly its just a matter of running 'python setup.py build'. No longer waiting for someone else to build binaries and a...

Is there a better way to do this? Or am I doing anything wrong? My solution has one web project and 3-4 web services. Please advice which is th best way to deploy my application. Thanks in advance

We have a web application in 2003. The solution contains the project for the web application and five other projects for shared assemblies. We have two issues. The first is that we want to place the entire solution in some other directory like c:\work rather than wwwroot. We can use vss to do a get latest version, but as soon as we open the solution from within visual studio, vs copies the main web application source files to a new...

We have a very large C# winforms client application that is constructed as a single solution currently with 75 projects. We're currently using VS 2003 but will upgrade to 2005 some time next year. We've noticed that Visual Studio is terribly inefficient about a lot of things, and my testing with 2005 seems to indicate those problems may actually be worse there. On average, it can take 3 to 5 minutes to simply open the solution while...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
