Hello all,
I've got a question about session state. Is it possible to
declare and load a session into a session object from the sql server
database. Here's the scenario ...
I've got a website using SqlServer as the session state manager.
I've got a web service that I'd like to pass in the SessionID and have
it load the session from the database. I'd just like to know if this
is possible.

We have multiple ASP.Net web apps in development. As a standard we
are looking to go with SQL Server to hold state information.
Can we have the multiple apps all point to a single State DB? Or do we
need to install multiple instances of the State database on to the SQL
Server (one for each Web app)?
It would seem that you could run into troubles pointing several web
apps at the same DB, because you would introduce the possibility (a...

We have recently set up two SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition servers

problem, but the Database Mirroring Monitor Job fails every time with
the following error message:

syntax near the keyword 'with'. If this statement is a common table
expression or an xmlnamespaces clause, the previous statement must be

I would like to know what you guys think is the best way to access data:
Asp.Net session vs. Database Queries.
In our application we are using asp.net tree view to display hierarchical
data and when user clicks on particular node it brings up totally different
page with all the asp.net controls dynamically generated.
Example:
Tree view Control is as follow:

We are setting up a web farm and want to store session state on a SQL Server
2005 Enterprise sp2 database. But when the web sites try to access the
session state we get the error...
Unable to use SQL Server because ASP.NET version 2.0 Session State is not
installed on the SQL server.
We installed the custom state database using...
aspnet_regsql -S mysvrname -E -ssadd -sstype c -d mydbname
....and can see the database.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
