Hi,
I am writing a messaging library which will allow me to send a generic
message structure with custom "payloads".
In many cases, a message must store a non-linear data structure (i.e.
"payload") using pointers. Examples of these are binary trees, hash
tables etc. Thus, the message itself contains only a pointer to the
actual data....

Hello,
I am having a problem trying to serialize this simple structure, I use it
in a collection class that derives from CollectionBase but I noticed that at
least for now the serialization exception ocurrs when i try to serialize
this structure (see below). The idea is that it would be serialized to:
< Param type="..." method="Get"...

Hai,
I am new to VB.Net programming, directly doing socket programming. In C, I
will be able to map the message arrived in a socket directly to a structure.
Is this possible in VB.Net. Can anyone please help me with some sample
codings and guidance?
Can you also suggest some other news group available for socket programming
in VB.Net?

I would like to serialize a class to XML. The format of the XML is
fixed (see below). It only needs to be serialized - it is read by
another application.
I know I can do it manually using XMLTextWriter - e.g.
Dim xwriter = New
XmlTextWriter("C:\Projects\Formflo\WindowsService\NDde\test.xml",
System.Text.Encoding.UTF8)...

Hi Willy,
Thank you very much for your work.
C++ code doesnot make any serialization.
So at runtime C# code gives an serialization error at
"msg_file_s sa = (msg_file_s) bf.Deserialize(ms);"
I thought that it is very hard to memory map structure array.
I need both read and write memory mapped file at both side of C# and C++.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
