hi,
I have a very strange problem on my login Page. the Page was working fine a
few days back, but now does not generate post back events for controls.
Ya i was able to discover one thing, it is becoz of validators, any
validator
on a page is creating the problems. Even if they should not get fired.
no message just gets blocked,

I have written some code that causes mouseover effects on a picture box.
The code works fine most of the time and creates some really nice effects.
HOWEVER,
If i try, i can get the effects to not disappear (as if the MouseLeave event
isn't firing) or i can get the effects to not appear in the first place (as
if the MouseEnter/MouseMove events aren't firing).
More or less i can do this by just moving the mouse slowly into the
picturebox...

I use the following syntax to have events inherited from base to child classes which works nicely (virtual and override keyword on events). But I am wondering if it is a "supported" way of using events since I never saw it used anywhere in MSDN documentation/samples?! Or it will just break when I upgrade to .NET Framework 2.x in the coming years

In a program I'm writing, I have a class that generates a certain
event. However, there may be dozens or even hundreds of instances
of this particular class, which makes adding and removing handlers
to each instance a pain. Rather than go down that route, I was
thinking of making the event static, so I would only need to add my
handlers once, to the static event, which I can then trigger from
inside my class.

i am having a problem with event not firing. I dont know how to
explain why because most of the time it fires, but when it does not

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
