I have a multiboot system with VS .NET 2002 Pro and VS .NET 2003 Pro
installed in separate bootable systems.
I installed VS .NET 2003 on 21 August 2003, but have used mostly VS .NET
2002 since then.
When I get Office 2003 and VSTO, then I'll start using VS .NET 2003.
Today, I had a reason to try upgrading a VB 6 project to VS .NET 2003, so I
rebooted to the OS with VS .NET 2003.
I double clicked the .VBP file and VB 6 started, but so...

Does anybody have a decent solution for the "Compiler could not be
created" error message that appears when starting VS.NET 2003?
I've got a side-by-side installation with VS.NET 2002.
VS.NET 2002 works fine.
VS.NET 2003 can't open any project due to the above error.
I've reinstalled Framework 1.0. No change.
I've reinstalled Framework 1.1. No change.
I've reinstalled VS.NET 2003. No change.

Hi,
I have a development machine with Visual Studio .Net 2003 which, as
far as I know, targets the 1.1 .Net Framework.
Now I need to open some solutions that were created in another machine
with Visual Studio .Net 2002 (against the 1.0 Framework).
I have already read:

Having a problem installing a DB2 client on a machine running AIX
version 5.0. Client appeared to install one time succesfully, then
was uninstalled and a reinstall was attempted. For some reasons, it

Everything installed in /usr/opt for DB2 but the sqllib folder that is

Hi all,
1) I have used VC++.NET 2002 (v7.0) for a while. Recently I just installed
VC++.NET 2003 (v7.1) - I saw the message "Settings were not migrated from
Visual Studio.NET 2002 to Visual Studio,NET 2003" during the installation.
Do I have to do the migration of the "Settings" if I want to use the both
versions of VC++.NET in the Side-by-Side fashion?
2) I ran the "Build" of the example 'Chapter5_Example1' of 'Beginning
DirectX 9' by...

Hi, all,
A strange problem. Don't know if anybody met it before or have a
solution.
I installed VS.NET 2002 before. Then I uninstalled VS.NET 2002 and
install VS.NET 2003. The problem is when it prompts me to enter the
product key, I entered the product key of VS.NET 2002. But the
validation passed and the installation process continued.

Hi. When I try to run Visual Studio 2003 I get the message "MS development
environment is not installed for the current user. Please run setup to
install the application."
Is there any way to work around this without reinstalling VS 2003?
Also, can VS 2003 and VS 2005 coexist?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
