I am building an ASP.Net web application that records
employee incident data over several screens. I have built
custom classes to hold this information as the user enters
data. In order to persist the data, i am trying to use
session memory. The problem is that when i try to cast the
class that is in session memory into a class on my page
and i get NOTHING! Actually, my watch window tells me that
the class equals nothing......
Where am...

Hi folks,
I have some problems with ASP.NET Session State. The
following simple program runs well if the Session State
set as "InProc". If I switch to "SQLServer", the changes,
made by the second thread, are lost. Any idea?
I use VS.NET 2003 on Windows Server 2003 with hot fixes
(as of 30-Oct-2003) and SQL Server 2000 SP 3a.

Hi,
after I've added a property to my web page I can't open it in Visual Studio
Designer anymore. I get the error message "File couldn't be opened in Web
Forms Designer. enablesessionstate page directive required to use
Session object."
I see that Visual Studio Web Forms Designer seems to execute any Property
code when opening the page. But I don't want it to.

Hi,
I'm having a issue trying to change the value of a session variable. It
seems like I just can set my session variable one time in the sessión.
For example if I write: Session("Variable") = "1" in a page, and
Session("Variable") = "2" in second one. The session variable keep
holding the value of the first asignation.
It's really weard, because it works good using our internal servers,
but not in our external production server...

I have a lot of variables that I need to persist; Tradionally I would use
Session State but I'm considering SQLState or CodeBehind. Which is the
better performer if I do not know the topology of the destination web farm?
Thx, Alan

I have a bunch of administrative ASPX pages that requires me to check
for a Session value. I have a Masterpage.master file that all these
ASPX pages use, that checks this. The problem is that the codebehind
for each of those ASPX pages runs before the codebehind in the
Masterpage file.
I run my check in the Masterpage as:
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (Session != null)

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
