Greetings.
Do any popular browsers correctly support <q>, at least for Western
languages? I've noticed that Mozilla uses the standard English
double-quote character, ", regardless of the lang attribute of the HTML
document. Will any browsers render German-style quotes or French-style
guillemots for lang="de" and lang="fr", respectively?
Regards,
Tristan

Are we going backwards ? (please excuse my spelling...)
In my opinion an absolute YES !
Take a look at what we are doing ! we create TAGS, things like <H1> etc.
and although there are tools (dreamweaver and the like), they are all at the
lowest level of programming (something like assembly as oposed to C++ etc.).
These tools create "brain-dead" developers that constantly have to plough
through tons of tags to do the simplest thing.

When we talk about safe code regarding C#, what do we realy mean? Is safe
code the same as managed code literally?
Why people say that C# is a component-oriented language?
What differences there exist between an event and a method in C#?
What differences there exist between a properties and an attribute in C#?
Why we need to write unsafe code, like inline C code sometimes in C#?

I was just looking at a demo training that mindleaders has on .net

And I don't believe this is correct or at least is misleading to me:
"The search for an easy, productive, and very powerful programming
language led to the birth of Visual C#. Visual C# incorporates the
best features of Visual C++ and Visual Basic. Visual C# enables you to

Greetings,
I have a rough classification of languages into 2 classes: Zen
languages and tool languages. A tool language is a language that is,
well, a *tool* for programming a computer. C is the prototypical tool
language. Most languages in the Algol family are tool languages. Visual
Basic and Java are also tool languages. On the other hand, a Zen
language is a language which is purported to transform your way of
thinking about...

I bought this book years ago, when I was just learning C++. Since
then I've gone through every math course offered at my college, taken
courses on coding C & thinking in terms how how to make the smallest
tightest algorithms to preform specific functions. I've also grown
and matured a lot, and am wiser and older. I'm reading through the C+
+ Programming Language, Third Edition now, and I can actually
understand it. I can understand it...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
