File repository

In my web app I need a file repository to keep my users uploades files
(documents, images, etc).

How do I accomplish this?

Which concerns should I be aware of?

Should I keep the resources on a dedicated file server?

Up to this point, our application has been using Windows File Sharing to transfer files to and from our application document repository. This approach does not lend itself toward a secure environment and so we are in the process of imposing a WebService gateway between our application client and the repository. (As a starting point, the WebService won't be a richly featured application server; business rules are still implemented in the...

I'm working on an file transfer gateway using WSE with DIME for file attachments. Our goal is to replace our direct file repository access (via windows network folder sharre) with the Web Service gateway for security purposes. As it stands now, all workstations have direct read-write access to the file repository share. The Web Service gateway will secure this for us. While the web service gateway is more secure, it doesn't perform...

There should be an organization playing the leading role to establish or meintain the repository. Could anyone tell me who owns the repository and who has the responsibility to establish the repository? I found some ebXML Registry...

Dear all I have a Windows Service that retrieves some data as XML, applies an XSLT to produce a CSV which is saved to the filesystem as a text file. This all works fine. Depending upon the configuration, this file is then 1. copied to another location 2. attached to an e-mail message 3. FTPed to a particular location

Hi, I have seen that some modules which are available on CPAN are not listed in ActiveState repository. So those are not available to install by using ppm. I find out the way of adding adding repository in ppm given below, Way to add repository: To use these package repositories you start PPM and at the prompt type set repository NAME URL e.g: set repository JENDA http://Jenda.Krynicky.cz/perl

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
