Hello, Paul!

Do you mean DTS job by "SQL job", if so then take a look at these links they may help you in understanding how can you access DTS from managed code

You can query the MSDB Database on the Server.

Select * From MSDB.dbo.SysJob s
Where Enabled = 1

Forgive the subject but I wasn't sure what to call this. Basically I am looking at the possibility of having a page on my main server, that will go out to my other site's and return whether they are online or offline. Unfortunately I can't use controls or crons (what my host calls them) to do this as they aren't allowed, and additionally, I can't use the servers scheduling services to do it as it isn't allowed. So basically, is it...

Helpful folks, I have recently migrated our test server, which runs Win NT 4, from V7.2 FP11 to V8.1.3. Just about everything works wondefully, except I am having major problems getting the previously defined federated servers/nicknames to work. But I will start a different thread about that problem. I thought I'd ask about the less critical problem first. It deals with the Control Center and the following error: SQL0713N The...

Is there a web page out there like this one ... http://www.sql-tutor.com/sql_tutor/database.asp that would allow me to test some SQL to a DB2? In particular to an AS/400. I am learning and find that the commands, fuctions etc are different than going to an Access DB on my home PC. Another thing I am looking for is there a way to simulate on my PC a DB2 so I can accomplish the same thing in testing SQL. Thanks

Hi, Is that possible if the crosstab query is dynamic? Doesn't seem so as I have to specify the control source for the text boxes and the number of columns may change, along with their field names. Just thought I'd take a shot in the dark. -pw

I need to write a compound query to access two different SQL servers. When I specify the server name as a prefix to the database name i get syntax error. I can not seem to find any examples of how to qualify which server i want to access the database from. I need to access two databases that are located in two different servers. I am using SQL server mgt studio and connected to both servers.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
