I'm trying to get a java program to use a GUI included with my textbook,
Fundamentals of Java by Lambert and Osborne, called BreezySwing. The book
indicates that to import the GUI you need to declare:
import BreezySwing.*;
Whie is all well and good except that I can't quite figure out where I need
to put the BreezySwing.class (I think it's .class anyway) file included with
the textbook so that NetBeans 3.5.1 will understand that...

All,
I'm reading a book by Charles Petzold (Programming VS.Net). Pretty good
content but am confused about the difference. From the text:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The @ Import Directive
Next to @ Page, the directive that ASP.NET programmers use the most is @
Import. The @ Import directive is ASP.NET's...

It appears that (windows) python searches in the current working
directory before looking in the local site-packages directory, or that
'.' comes first in sys.path? The problem arises when I made the mistake
of running a test program from the same directory where I built and
installed my package. Python uses the package from the current
directory, which misses the pyd files, instead of the site-packages
package which has them installed.

Hi all,
two questions:
- is there a way to call the INSERT-Statement from Java (JDBC).
(import from file of del replace into table)
- in db2 there is no truncate-statement, is it?
Is in db2 something like that?
Thank you for all answers

Hello, I've just started to work with DB2 (using the express edition
version 9.5 under windows vista) and I'm accessing it through a java
program (my java's very rusty). The java program loads the driver,
connects and tries to create two tables. That works just fine. Then it
tries to import data into one of the tables but it seems I can't use
an import command with Statement.execute() because an exception is
thrown if I attempt to do this....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
