windows form application. I am confused.
I created a project - windows form
I built form, compiled and debugged.
I created a deployment project (myproj installer)
I added my windows app to the installer
under myproj installer properties, I set bootstrapper

I've setup a Windows Installer Setup Project for my VS 2005 VB.NET app -- it
installs find, but my Desktop icon and Programs Menu icon do not run the app
..exe when I click on them -- I can't figure out how to make this shortcuts
point to my apps.exe -- any suggestions?

I have the DeleteAtUninstall = False for a registry entry that is managed by
my installer, yet when I test my installation, it creates the reg entry no
problem, but when I uninstall it removes the registry entry even thou I have
the DeleteAtUninstall = False?? Is this a know bug or am I missing
something?

I'm having several issues with Windows Setup Projects in VS 2005 and need to
find a resource that might be able to help me work around some of the short
comings of Windows Setup Projects (Windows Installer 3.0).
My specific issues:
1. DetectNewerInstalledVersion = False, still detects a version and refuses
to install even with UpgradeCode = same and ProductCode being difference.
2. DeleteAtUninstall doesn't work if = False (some BS...

In the past for VS 2003 .NET 1.1 Windows Service projects, I've been using
InstallUtil. I'm now converting it over to VS 2005 and .NET 2.0 and would
like to create a stand alone installer -- should I use the Setup Project
template in VS 2005? Can this handle Windows Service installs?

I've followed 2 very similar tutorials on creating a windows service
and an installer. But, after successfully compiling it, I try to do
the InstallUtil command, but I get a badimageformatexception. I tried
to do some searching on that exception, but all I could find was a
small blurb on MSs site about C++ which I'm not using. Can anyone see

I have encountered a problem with the installation of a Windows service. I
know I have done this in the past so I am at a loss as to what I might be
doing wrong.
When I create a setup project for a Windows Service project, build and then
run it, the installation completes successfully but the service does not show

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
