I have a problem here that only seems to happen on the one new server that we are migrating our ASP.Net application to. The server is a Windows 2000 SP4 box. It initially had the .Net Framework version 1.1 installed on it. I installed the .Net Framework version 1.0 on it and upgraded it to use SP2. I then configured the web site to use 1.0 by using iisreg -s. Our application was developed using 1.0 SP2, so, to ensure that we would not have...

I have a ASP.Net website (mobile). From time to time the browser popup
the following message. Anyway to catch the error and redirect to my

Can I directly access an object member from an object I have saved as a
session variable?
I am carrying a session variable for my user information as separate session
vaiables for each (firstName, lastName, email, userName etc).
I already have a User class and am thinking of saving the object in a
session variable.
Not sure what the pros and cons are here, but can I access the data directly

Hello;
I use in my web application FormsAuthentication. Also I use Session state
(InProc).
When a user logged in, I can read Session parameters. (For example
Session). Problem is that, when user close the browser window then
open a new browser, FormsAuthentication reads from cookie and user logs in.
Althought user logged in, session parameter is null.

Simple question, I think...
I'm storing an object in the Session object.
In the code behind I read that object: trx = CType(Session("Transaction"), BOCSTransaction)
If I change any properties, I have to store it back into the session object to "update" it, right? Or will the changes to my object automatically be saved back into the session object?
Thanks,
Jerry

either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make
sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is
included in the <configuration>\<system.web>\<httpModulessection in the

Hi,
I've done some coding in my web application however right now for an unknown
reason my asp.net 2.0 site is not setting asp.net_sessionid cookie and as a
result, I am losing the session data in each page refresh or redirect.
I really do not have any coding against how the session works.
And I have not changed any setting in IIS.
I even compared the 2 code(old and new) bases and didn't see anything funny

Hi,
I have a website running in IIS7 and it seems to be creating a new session for every request I make. The values I store in Session are lost with every request.
This is the forms bit in my web.config:
<authentication mode="Forms">
<forms name=".ReMaCRM" loginUrl="~/Login.aspx" defaultUrl="~/Default.aspx" cookieless="AutoDetect" domain="" timeout="10" protection="All" />
</authentication>

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
