Hi,
One of my clients has the following situation. They use Access DB for
data update etc. some business functions while they also want to view
the Access data quickly and more efficiently in SQL Server 2000. Huge
Access db with over 100 user tables, over 60 MB data.
The DTS package that comes with SQL Server 2000 seems pretty "messy"
in the sense that it assumes that one needs to do one time import only

I used the ASP.NET SQL Server Setup Wizard (aspnet_regsql.exe) to configure
my application's SQL Server database for ASP.NET services such as membership
and role management. Everything works fine when using the Web Site
Administration Tool and the login controls, or when using SQL Server

I am helping somebody setup one of the asp.net starter kits. I
converted it from sql express to sql server with no real issues, and I
got it running local perfectly.
On my first attempt to run it remotely I noticed that a lot of the
queries had dbo. hardcoded and that SQL server on the remote server

Is it bad practice to access these tables? I'd like to add a
"lastname" and "firstname" to the users table, and just use SQL to
access them.
Is there an issue in doing this, or in using the .NET create
application_id in these tables?
What's the alternative? (we're still not on Active directory).

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
