Hello!
can anyone provide an example of how to update/insert with
microsoft.xml.x query?

Don't use it. It has been removed in the final release, thus you
programm will hardly run anywhere (and it is not wise to keep the beta
just for this, it's too 'dangerous')

If have enough money, you can get SQL Server 2005, iirc XQuery has been
moved there.

I spent most of yesterday looking into this, and still didn't really find an answer... I have a .NET2.0 app that I need to install on a server, and then possibly several other servers later, it requires access to LAN and internet. I installed the 20mb Framework, then drop my program on there, but theres no Framework Configuration for 2.0 only the 1.1 version (MSCORCFG.MSC) so I can't alter the security, and so my app fails to access the...

(repost!) I have a simple and common scenario. I'm developing pages in VWD and FTP-ing them over to a test servr running Window 2003, NET2 Framework. On my page, I have a DDL that causes a postback and executes a sub when the value has changed. For some reason, it just quit working. I get a js error in IE6 (but NOT in FF 1.5) and gives me a vague error about: 'event' is null or not an object.Line X, character X.

I have repeatedly tried to install Net2. I keep getting the following error message. I've looked through the Knowledgebase but can find nothing. It seems to be related to a Visual Basic problem, but I was unaware that I had VB on my system! Maybe I do and it needs repair. If so how do I do that? Here's the error message. Error 25015. Failed to install assembly "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Microsoft.VisualBasic.Vsa.dll"...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
