Express repair

Recently, and for reasons I don't know, the project I was working on started
to compile either very slowly, or it was locking up.

So, I repaired VS C++.NET 2005 Express via 're-installing' it without first
removing it. The repair worked, and the project now compiles in a timely
manner.

My question is this. After the offer to download the Express versions for
free has expired (Nov 2006), will some means to repair the ones we have
installed on our systems still be provided? Would it be a good idea for us
to request the CD's even though it installed off internet just fine, just
for the purposes of repair after Nov 2006?

Of course do note that we do have downloadable ISO images for the setup
of VC Express. If you download that one now, you should be good to go to
be able to do a repair (on the same machine).

One question though. You said 'on the same machine'. The install process and
downloading the CD ISO's are independent operations, and I did them a week
apart. Am I still good, or do I have to install from the ISO image to repair
from the ISO image?

Since I am not a lawyer, I was trying to avoid stepping into the issue
of downloading the ISO image now and installing it on additional
machines after the promotion period has ended.
