I need to encrypt some data in my program, so I've created 2 functions to
encrypt and decrypt data. I've created a simple program to test it, and...
it crashes. It wors ok on XP, but on win98 it generates an exception
(padding is invalid and cannot be removed)
When I change coding of chars from Unicode, to utf8 or 7, it does not work
even under XP. what can I do, for it to work on XP and win98??

This code worked on fx 1.1 and now I get a "Keyset does not exist" error
when trying to SignData with RSA under FX2.0.
Smells like some security error, but can't debug it as I think error is
thrown in win32. If you create a new RSA, it works. But creating RSA from
an SNK does not work.
string privSnk = @"v:\wsesimpletcpdll\wsesimpletcpdll.snk"; // Use any snk
file.
System.Security.Cryptography.RSACryptoServiceProvider rsa =...

Hi, everybody here.
I am implementing data encryption/decryption, and try to use
System.Security.Cryptography.TripleDESCryptoServiceProvider.
But I can not find it in MS Visual Studio when I wrote code like (C#)
using System.Security.Cryptography.TripleDESCryptoServiceProvider;
Under System.Security.Cryptography, only have X509Certificates.

I wrote a simple VB.NET application that imports and edits CSV files.
Now I’d like to “lock” the raw (pre-import) CSV files so these cannot be
opened separately. It is not high-sensitive data, I just don’t want folks to
peek in the files.
So time-consuming encryption is not necessary, just a simple
password-to-open that I can program in my application so it internally opens
the imported CSV file would be perfect, but I can’t...

getting the following error:
Key not valid for use in specified state
I am attempting to retrieve the X509Certificate2.PrivateKey as an XML
string via the ToXmlString() function and this error occurs. Below is
an example of the command line call that I used to make my test

Hey all.
I need to determine whether or not a Windows Driver is digitally
signed using a C# application. Can anyone point me in the right
direction for doing this? I know it has something to do with the .cat
file, but I'm not sure exactly what else I need to do.
TIA!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
