Debugger help

I would like to debug the code in a c# dll by launching the debugger at
runtime using System.Diagnost ics.Debugger.La unch().

1. Is it possible to specify the path for the source files before/after
launching the debugger on a machine different from the development machine?
If yes, how is this done?

2. What are the common issues with this kind of debugger? I searched for the
MSDN documentation but could not find useful information (or I may be missing
something!).

Please help.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi, I'm running into a problem where the Microsoft Script Debugger is no longer starting up when it encounters an error or breakpoint. It used to prompt whenever it encountered an error, but is no longer doing so. It doesn't prompt to debug when it encounters an error. It doesn't open when I use the "STOP" command in my VBScript. It doesn't open when I select View|Script Debugger|Open from the IE menu. It just doesn't open. The only...

Hi, I've been using VS for a number of projects and the debugger has worked as advertised until now. I have a desktop solution with three projects, two of which are class modules. For some reason, in only one of them, the JIT debugger doesn't seem to be working. (At least I asssume this is a JIT debugger issue.) Anyways, in all my other projects an error causes the pop-up window with the break button option that breaks at the line...

I have UDB 8.1 Personal Edition installed. I'm using Development centre to develop JAVA Stored Procedues. I am unable to debug them. I have installed IBM Distributed Debugger and have set DB2ROUTINE_DEBUG=ON. I installed Distributed Debugger after UDB. The Procs will build with debug but no debugger window appears when run in debug mode. I followed the instructions that came with Debugger regarding the installation directory etc.

I am trying to remote debug a C# application but the debugger is reporting the following exception: An unhandled exception of type 'System.IO.FileLoadException' occurred in Unknown Module. Additional information: Unverifiable assembly 'FrameGrabber' failed policy check. The FrameGrabber assembly is a C++ managed DLL.

I am trying to debug my program using the DDD debugger. I have also downloaded a manual for the debugger but I cannot RUN my program in the debugger. I use the -g flag when compiling. I then write to the command line > ddd table2 Then the debugger pops up and i press Programs->Run where it asks for arguments and because my program doesn't need any, I don't provide it with any and so I check the blank line. I always get the following:

Hi All, I am writing a tool, which should monitor some exe-processes, which are not very solid. Th main function is to re-start them, if they hung, but this is complicated. I can detect things like no longer generating IO or such properties and I use WMI to do that. I am also looking for attached subprocesses, which are one of the system debuggers. I wrote a test-program, which creates a divide by zero error after some seconds. I can...

Okay, a bit of an exaggeration. Recently, I've been using Python more seriously, and in using the debugger I think one of the first things I noticed was that there is no "restart" ("R" in perldb) or "run" (gdb) command. I was pleasantly pleased discover how easy though it was patch pdb.py and pdb.doc; my patch for this is here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1393667&group_id=5470&atid=305470

I'm having problems w/ the VS2005 debugger with C#. It blows past any breakpoints in even the simplest "Hello World" console application. I can't do any step-by-step debugging. I've provided the code and debugging output later in this post. I've seen a number of threads with similar problems that I'll address below. The one that's the largest concern is this one, which talks about the same problem trying to use the debugger with SQL...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
