Carriage return in MailFormat.Text

I would like to store a body of an email message in database (or XML file)
and retrieve it as a string. It works well with HTML messages, but have a
problem to format text based messages. How to use carriage return?

Can someone please help with a suggestion as to how I can keep the formatting (carriage returns) that the user enters into a memo field and then display that later. I figured I might be able to use: 'replace carriage returns with BRs comment=Replace(comment, chr(13), "<br>") but obviously net.! The <pre> tag doesn't sem to help either as the embedded return is

Using ASP.Net and VB.net I have textboxes (<asp:textbox id......>) in which the user will be entering paragraphs. They are multiline (several rows and several columns). The carriage returns that the user puts in (return/enter key) do not show up when the data is retrieved. It is one long line. Is there any way to make the user's paragraph divisions show up in the report?

Hi I'm trying to export some data from an Access table to Sage Line 50 using VBA. It works fine, except that very occasionally one of the fields contains a carriage return. If I step through my code in debug, it handles the carriage return by replacing it with a square in the middle of the text. I need a way in Access of identifying the carriage return and replacing it with a space. Is there a function I could use to do this?

Thanks in advance who will look at it. I have been encountering an issue which I can’t find a way out of it. What my pgm does: It (java codes) reads oracle table data and creates flat text data files. Another part of the program distributes the extracted text files to unix systems. Problem first occurred: Opening those files in Unix box shows carriage return in the middle of the record as well as at the end of the record.

My db allows the user to send email via CDO. The body of the email is determined in code. I have built an email form with To, CC and Subject lines and a large text box for the body of the message so the user can edit the default email message body before sending the message. But when I populate the large text box (txtBody), I can't get it to include the carriage returns. I've tried vbNewLine, vbCrLf, Chr(10) and Chr(13). I've got the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
