Task List won't display?

Hi all,
Anybody seen where if after a Build with errors the Task List won't pop up
when you click on the tab? I have to shut down the whole IDE to get it to
come up. This is in VS.NET 2003. I don't remember this occuring in
version 2002.

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your post.

Afer a Build, I suggest you to select the menu "View" -> "Other Windows" ->
"Task List" and see if the Task List window will display.

I look forward to your result.

Tian,
No that doesn't bring it up, but I found if I
change the 'auto hide' setting of other
windows to 'don't hide' and bring them
up this way I can then get access to the
Task List'. Also one thing I didn't mention
before, sometimes when I click on the Task List tab
a gray window pops up in place of the list.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your response. I think more infomration is needed before moving
forward.

Does the problem occur to a specific project or to all projects?
I am not able to reproduce the problem on my side, I suggest you to
close/stop all other unecessary applications/services and then check if it
works

Hope this helps.

I am constantly getting reports in my task list like these: * 'someObjectName" is not a member of 'someOtherObjectName' * Handles clause requires a WithEvents variable. * Name 'someName' is not declared These errors are totally erroneous. If I go into the class and cut the offending code and repaste it in the same spot the errors temporarily go away. Also, more effective is to delete the files in project/bin and rebuild. Both fixes...

Does anyone know how I can hide a form from the TaskManager? I've set the ShowInTaskbar to False, but when using Alt-TAB to switch between applications, it appears as a blank icon. I can set it as a SizableToolWindow, but then I no longer have the minimize button on the caption. Is there a way to mimic a (FormBorder) sizable tool window (so it doesn't appear in the tasklist) and still show the Min, Max and Close control buttons? (Or...

Hello all! I am trying to create a replacement task bar for windows (don't ask why..) in C#, and have run into some troubles. I am aware that i can get a list of running processes (using System.Diagnostics.Process), however this is ALL processes, and i ONLY WANT the ones that would show on the task bar normally. I noticed that if i looked at a Processes MainWindowTitle property, i

Hi everybody, I am very happy to find this group. I am searching for a solution to make a horizontal list menu with submenu on hover. I found a lot of examples for horizontal lists which open vertical lists on :hover i.e. http://phoenity.com/newtedge/horizontal_nav/ But what I am looking for is a horizontal list that opens another horizontal list and both need to be right-floated.

(I don't care if it's in the processes part, that doesn't matter. I have XP Pro, and Visual Basic 6... I'm not a complete newbie but nothing too hard please.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
