Hi.
I am working on a program for the .NET Framework written in C# with Visual
Studio .NET. With this program, one can print a report realized with the
Crystal Report software included with VS .NET. This has all been working
fine until recently, when I had to install and run the program on more
computers. Then I suddenly start getting error messages like: 'Cannot find
KeycodeV2.dll, or invalid keycode'.
The .NET framework is, of...

Hi!
I need to deploy .NET application (ADO.NET + Crystal Reports) in local
intranet.
All assemblies of application will be shared in the folder on the server so
all users can
execute this application on their pc from that folder. (of course I need to
apply some .NET security permissions).
So I've got two questions:
what is the best way to install crystal reports engine on users pc?
what kind of problems may occur in such enviroment ?

I have just setup a WebServer and all the applications work fine, but
when every any of the applications try to generate a Crystal Report the
page errors out.
"File or assembly name CrystalKeyCodeLib, or one of its dependencies,
was not found."
I read that the 4 MSM files need to be moved to the a MERGE MODULES
folder in the Common Files folder, but didn't seem to do a thing.

My app has several Crystal Reports embedded; I want to avoid using any
installers and just copy files to the app directory. Can I just mark all of
the Crystal references = true and then do a file copy
installation? Or does Crystal insist on being registered?
TIA

I was intending to use an XCOPY install for a VS2005 C# WinForms app but
when I copied the files and ran the app on a clean machine it failed when it
needed Crystal Reports. Can you not use XCOPY deployment if you have
Crystal Reports dependencies?
Is there an available Crystal redistribution package I can run before doing
my XCOPY deployment?
TIA

Hey Guys,
I'm totally flipping out. I developed an application which makes use
of the built in Visual Studio 2005 Crystal Reports components. I have
references on my solution which state:
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework
CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Infostore
CrystalDecisions.ReportSource

On reflection, you could possibly make the app a self extracting zip file
which extracts the EXE and a settings file and then starts the app, then when
you app closes, it can repack the settings file and itself into the exe. You
would probably want a tool for this bit which could be in the zip too.
So the app isnt single exe when running but when not running, it is.
Just an idea for you to think about.
Another option would possibly be to...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
