Hi,
Being fairly new to .NET I am looking for a way to call MS
Word from an event on a webform, and after the user is
finished save that created document to an SQL Server
database. Has anyone done this? Does it seem possible? I
followed the instructions from a sample on the Microsoft
knowledge base but it only seems to work when creating a
VB.NET Windows .EXE, not an VB.NET ASP app.

I've seen a lot of people having that same problem trying to
instantiate a word.application com object from an asp.net application.
I have built a WEB application that is used to manage the creation of
an annual report from 75 different word documents. I'm using word
automation to activate the Revison Tracking flag when I send a word
document to someone. I had the Access denied error message and I have
been able to get rid of it...

I have a Web App that does 2 things. It uploads word-document files to a folder on my server, scans them with a virus-scanner and then using the office dll's I extract the contents of the document and put it in my database to be able to search through it.
