Hi all,
I am trying to send a fax programatically using the FAXCOMEx.DLL with .Net
(C# and COM Interop).
I have built a little class to encapsulate the logic for sending the fax -
not much to it really. This works nicely when I include this class in a
Windows Forms project and call it from a button's event handler.
Then, when I include the class - as a component in our business components
DLL, and call it from a web service, the...

Dear all,
I have Typo3 (CMS) running on php4.3.11/apache2.0.54 (Windows 2003
platform). I need PHP LDAP support for importing user accounts from AD
(on the Windows 2003 DC).
Does someone know how to enable ldap support on this running system,
without having to re-install PHP -with ldap support?
Many thanks,

I just wanted to confirm this for WIN32 projects in VC++ 2003.
It looks like you need to reference functions in 3rd party DLL's (C-based)
by building a LIB file as described here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q131313&id=KB;EN-US;q131313
Am I wrong in my assumption?
TIA

I have ASP.NET websites deployed on a number of servers. Thee were
developed with Visual Studio 2003.
Is it true that Visual Studio 2005 only supports .NET Framework 2.0 and I
will be required to have Visual Studio 2005 for those ASP.NET websites and
Visual Studio 2003 for my currently deployed websites?
Is there a summary document listing what is provided in Visual Studio 2005?
Apparently there is support for .NET Framework 1 and 2,...

Hi,
I have optimized my code in .NET 2003 using SSE3 instructions. But
it cannot be compiled because .NET 2003 does not support SSE3 by
default. What is the way to add support for SSE3 in .NET 2003.
Best Regards,

Hi,
I am new to this newsgroup and need help in the following questions.
1. I am workin' on a GUI application. Does C# provides Layout Managers the
way Java does to design GUI? I know that it can be done using the designer
but I intentionally don't want to use that. The one reason is that you
cannot change the code generated by the designer. The other could be that
you have more free hand and control to design your GUI.

I'm trying to understand the timeline for Window 2003 ending mainstream
support. I have consulted the MS lifecycle support center for 2K3 and 2K3
R2(http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=3198 and
http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=10394 ) but it is unclear to me
exactly when mainstream support ends. Both say 'Mainstream support will end
two years...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
