Hi!
I have a VB .NET client that is accessing an rpc/encoded service deployed in Axis 1.2. One of the operations, whoami, returns a string array. The server-side Java signature of this method is
String whoami(MyPrincipal principal)
My .NET client is unable to access the results of that array. The odd thing is that the very same client was able to access the results when the same service was deloyed in Axis 1.1. I've asked the Axis folks...

I am setting-up an experimental web service using Apache Axis but I'm having problems. AXIS can't find a library that I've verified exists on my computer and that CLASSPATH points to it.
I'm using a simple service for testing purposes (1 string IN, 1 string OUT) and I've found where the exception occures but not why.
But I've exhausted my own attempts.
I've researched the web for Axis issues and here is a brief description of the...

I'm cross posting from mscom.webservices.general as I have received no answer
there:
There has been a number of recent posts requesting how to satisfactorily
enable BASIC authorization at the HTTP level but as yet no fully useful
answer.
I too have been trying to call an apache/axis webservice which desires a
username/password from my C# Client. (ie the equivalent of
_call.setUsername("Myname") name from within a Java client proxy)...

Hello:
I have a Axis Web Service that sets the sessionid in the SOAP header for
persisting the session. The client is a .Net client that processes the header
as an Unknown Header. It sets the session id received from the Service
request on subsequent requests to the service. However the Axis Web service
does not process the SOAP header received from the .Net client and creates a
new session id for each request from the .Net client. Below...

Hello,
I'm a brand new web service developer, so forgive me if my question
have been asked before. I tried to search online and the only thread I
can found in Google Group doesn't have any answer/resolution.
This is the only one I'm able to find so far:

Hi,
I am trying to put together a small app that uses one of my company's
web service. Originally I interfaced with this web service using java,
and have the example code. I believe the web service was written with
java. Since this web services uses soap I should have no problems
consuming it from other languages, although I'm having a problem
with .net.
The web service requires authentication. I tried adding the

I wonder if you can help me - I'm new to this, and working in a project that has already been configured to work with Axis.
We have a Java project built with the Spring framework, in order to provide webservices for access via SOAP. As I understand it (ie not very well!) Axis works to accept these SOAP messages from the client and transform them into calls on our Java methods, and do the reverse with the responses - cool! Which is excellent,...

Hello,
I have a WCF Web Service using wsHttpDualBinding because I need a callback
to Java client.
I read Mr. A.Gupta's blog that if WCF Service uses wsHttpDualBinding for
interop working is not guaranteed.
I also tried to config wsHttpDualBinding in WCF Service Config file as

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
