Hi,
how can I separate floating point numbers where I know their length, and
there is no whitespace between the numbers? The input looks something like
this:
351748444554456 01605
351743871454455 89011
351741447554455 73903
351809474754458 34403
I know the numbers are 10 digits each. What is the cleanest way to read
this with C++ streams?

python-gpib provides Gpib.py (see end of post) for Linux.
I am trying to use the method called read. I usually use it without
arguments (the default length being 512). However, I am trying to read in a
string with some 16,000 comma separated floating point numbers.
So, I have to pass a length parameter much much larger than 512. As is
stands, the default read takes in only about 35-40 numbers, so I need about
512/35*16000 ~= 230,000....

Hello-
I am trying to write a snippet which will open a text file with an
integer on each line. I would like to read the last integer in the
file. I am currently using:
file = fopen("f.txt", "r+");
fseek(file, -2, SEEK_END);
fscanf(file, "%d", &c);
this works fine if the integer is only a single character. When I get
into larger numbers though (e.g. 502) it only reads in the 2. Is there

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
