I am learning C Programming after working with Java for 5 years. I
want to know where can I find the source files for C language itself.
For example strcat is a function, which concatenates two strings. I
want to read how this function is implemented in its native form,
where can I find its corresponding .c file. I am using gcc version
3.3.1 (Thread model POSIX) on cygwin with Eclipse IDE.
A grep on a function name lists many .h and .c...

I'd like to know what management and the work environment are like where you
work. I need something relative to compare my current work environment.
Here's a few questions I have:
1.) Is it normal for (technical) management (actually 1 of 2 co owners) to
constantly interrupt developers all day with with questions such as:
"can we look at this",
"I found this, can we try it now",
"Can we see what these guys are doing",
"can we change...

Hello everyone,
Can anyone recommend a good online site to learn PHP? The W3Schools
website is quite lacking - leaves much to be desired. I'm sure there
are many places, but which ones are good?
I currently run a site with an extensive photo gallery. Hundreds of
photos. Right now I have a system which the thumbnails are laid out in
a table. You click on a thumbnail and you see the full size picture.
That full size picture is in its...

I need to have a Public variable in my project. In VB it can be declared in
a standard module. Where can I do it in C# ?
I tried to do it in default class Program.cs and I tried it in an added by

No success
So, how and where I declare a variable visible by any module in the project?

Hi,
I want to be a professional python programmer, unfortunately I'm
working on technical support and don't have the time/patience to start
making projects my self. I tried to apply to some Python positions but
unfortunately sometimes to work as a programmer is really hard in this
world, every employee requires professional experience and you can't
really start as a beginner..
I'm planning to save some money and attend a course in any...

Please forgive the cross-post to multiple forums. I did it
intentionally, but I *think* it was appropriate given the nature of my
question.
I'm working on an open source code library to help automate and clean
up parameter validation code. It's almost ready to go into open beta.
But one last little glitch is holding me up, and that would be the
name of the factory class that serves as the entry point into the
library: Validate.

I have a friend doing some pro-bono work for a non-profit that does
job training for distressed kids under DCSS care. He asked me for
code to do the following (he's using A2003).
I can't find code in searches or on the MVP and tool sites I visited -
though I might not understand that there is code that just needs
adaptation. ALL help is appreciated.
He wants a routine (that I'd put into a module) to do the following:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
