I am writing some software that, among other things, needs to track
the state of database tables. This includes occasionally checking the
table to see what records or added, modified, or deleted. The added
and modified parts of this have not proven too difficult to implement,
but is there an easy/elegant way to determine what records have been
deleted from a mySQL table ??
I'm very to mySQL, and after reading through the docs about logs,...

Has anyone come across a change tracking tool for SQL Server. Specifically
the scenario I want is the following :
A Production DB needs some modifications to its content.
This tool will copy the DB to a dev environment.
The Dev environment will be 2 copies of the DB, 1 as a control set and the
other the change DB.
The developer makes their changes in the Change DB. They test them out and
then when they decide the changes are ready to...

I have worked out a very simple method for tracking the "memory
growth" of a process at run time. It involves a header file and a
shell script.
Here's the header file:
////////// Header File Begin ///////////////
#ifndef _VIRTMEMINFO_H_
#define _VIRTMEMINFO_H_
#include <stdio.h>

I have a DataGrid web control which I've dynamically populated with
template columns to be used for bulk-editting. Generally, all of the
columns are textbox and/or dropdownlist child controls.
Currently everything is working. I can find the updated rows/columns
by parsing the posted data collection against the DataGrid DataSource.
However, when there is a large amount of DataGridItems (rows) the
update processing can take a while.

I'm working on a project that will track a great deal of data forindividuals and will keep track of users for a very long time (5- 10) years. I'm looking for options as far as tracking anddisplaying changes to the data. Any suggestions for both the UIand the Data Storage aspects of tracking long term changes todata would be helpful.

Hi everyone.
I'm searching for a quick and dirty way to have psql record the
SQL statements that I enter, especially those related to the database
structure.
My main motivation is to help keep what will probably be a production
server up-to-date with my development server. I've thought a little
about replication, but the current options for that seem like overkill
for the relatively small database that I have. I'm particularly

One of my systems grew exponentially - from 13mb to 43mb - after adding some
10 temp tables (with no data), a new form, and about a thousand lines of
code. The .mdb has mostly table links, lots of forms and queries, and a
good bit of code overall.
But 43mb is totally unreasonble. I can't figure out where the problem is
occurring. It was fine for a long time. I even created a new file and
imported the objects and it blew back up to...

Hi all, hoping someone can point me towards a version tracking system for .net development. My projects are starting to get kind of large and my bosses want me to implement some form of version tracking that will allow for the tracking of changes and rolling back of changes.
Is there anything out there that does this?
Thank You
Daniel

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
