attributes in UserControl (MC++)

Hello

Can someone plz tell me why this doesn't work
CategoryAttribu te("MyCategory" )
Description("Cu stom Property Description."

public: __property bool get_MyProp()
public: __property void set_MyProp(int value)

When I compile it I get

error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before 'public

How do I specify attributes for custom properties (or events) for a UserControl then?

Hi All, I'm trying to get at the data in a variable marked with my custom attribute. I'm not entirely sure where to begin. I've created my attribute class which is okay but at runtime I want to be able to access all the fields in an object instance that are marked with my attribute and output the data in the field/variable. Anyone provide any assistance? Regards,

I understand the syntax of custom attributes, but I have no idea what they are supposed to do. Anyone care to give me a clue as to their functionality ?

I've converted a non-trivial C++ library to managed, and get the following unhelpful linker error: Assignment.obj : error LNK2022: metadata operation failed (80131195) : Custom attributes are not consistent: (0x0c0001a5). Display.obj : error LNK2022: metadata operation failed (80131195) : Custom attributes are not consistent: (0x0c000108). The help for LNK2022 is completely useless:

In MC++ properties are syntactically created through member functions declared with the __property keyword and using set_ and get_ naming conventions. Given that a property is specified in this way, how does one set an attribute for a property ? Does one have to precede both the set_XXX and get_XXX __property declaration with the same attribute declaration, or is preceding one or the other good enough to tell the MC++ compiler that the...

What is the best and/or fastest way to enumerate attributes of an HTML control? In my page template, I have: <body id="myBody" bottomMargin="0" leftMargin="0" topMargin="0" rightMargin="0" MS_POSITIONING="GridLayout" class="Body" runat="server"> And in my code-behind I want to look for the leftMargin

In my Page_Load event of all my web app Pages and UserControls I instantiate the same library class "TextResources" (to take care of reading presentation text strings from localizable resource files). Within this class's constructor I want to deduce the name of the calling control without having to pass it in. As this can either be a Page or a UserControl I cannot use Request.URL since this only gives you the current page. Any ideas ?

Hi all, I'm having major problems with a userControl which contains a datagrid. My problem concerns data binding. The Page_Load() procedure calls the DataBind procedure to bind the datagrid to a DataSet. If i include an if statement to prevent the data binding from occuring on a page PostBack in the following way:

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
