Reading and Setting BLOB's with Microsoft.jet.O LEDB.4.0

We need to read and store BLOB's as storage object in MS Access databases via OLE DB.

We have used several methods but no one was succesfull.

If one tries the code supplied under the article "Getting BLOB Data with Storage Object" of the MSDN library, IAccessor::Crea teAccessor returns an error code and sets DBBINDSTATUS to DBBINDSTATUS_NO INTERFACE for the column that contains the BLOB even though DBCOLUMNFLAGS_I SLONG is set for this colummn.

The column for the BLOB data was created with MsAcces as an OLE Object.

Does anyone knows anything that can be of help? Can we use this kind of methos with this provider?

I have two(2) issues. I'm experiencing a little difficulty and having to resort to a work around. I already found one bug, although stated the bug was only in ODBC, which I'm not using. It appears to be in the OLEDB driver also. My connection was: conn.Open "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=" & strPath & ";" & "Extended Properties='Text;HDR=NO;FMT=Delimited'"

Hi Community, I think I can store Binary Data in SQL Server but when I try to retrieve it, I always only get one byte. I think I stored my Binary Data in SQL Server in a Colum of Type Image. At least when I execute the following code, I get some significant network traffic. When I check the database with query analyzer, I see 4 Hex Chars in the image colum. Like 0xe0 etc.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
