Daniel,

Did you already try the "flush" method

I hope this helps,

You could try closing the stream first.

Please read Jon's post on how to post on Usenet.

I need some help. I cant seem to get rid of this error. I can program a button that will exit the program and remove the icon in the taskbar, but I have to tie it to OnTaskBarClose. OnExit and OnCloseWindow do nothing and leave the icon in the taskbar, I think I have tried every option, when you double click the icon it gives you the error. Traceback (most recent call last):

When I create a Web project and then try to add the files to it (Add Existing Item), I get this error message "The folder http://localhost/FinWeb is no longer availabe" In fact the folder and the virtual directory FinWeb both exist and project compiles just fine, but I cannot add the existing files to it. If I create a project with a different name (FinWeb2) it works fine.

We are streaming a PDF file out of an ASPX page in IIS 5 using Response.WriteFile so the user does not need permissions to the directory where the files are stored. This works great when the user is on a fairly fast network connection or when the PDF is not too large. However, for users on slow connections that try to download a large PDF (+30meg), they receive a "the server reset the connection" error message after about 15 minutes of...

I'm playing with a sudoku GUI...just to learn more about python. I've made 81 'cells'...actually small canvases Part of my scheme to write the cells (all 81 of them in the gui) to a file (using the the SAVE callback/button), then restore the gui cells from the contents of the saved file, which depends on knowing the "name" of the cell with the focus, or one (or more) which have a number. The print shows .9919624.9990312, but this...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
