XSLT or define relations

What do you think is the best design approach when your trying to get nested
XML results from dataSet.GetXML. Define the relations in the dataset or apply
an XSLT stylesheet to nest the results by syncing the dataset with an
XMLdocument?

If you can define relations on the dataset that would be the recommended
approach, although post processing with an XSLT stylesheet will always give
you more options. It doesn't necessarily have to be either/or - you could
do both if need be.

I would like to know if the base URI considered to resolve an unparsed entity defined by a relative URI should be the URI before or after its rewriting due to a possible catalog. Let's take an example. Here's my XML file: <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE para PUBLIC "-//Norman Walsh//DTD Website Full V2.4.0//EN" "http://docbook.sourceforge.net/release/website/2.4.0/website-full.dtd"

I'm trying to convert a XML-document using XSLT. Depending on the source file (the XML-document) the conversion is either correct or incorrect. If the first tag in the document contains an non empty xmlns attribute: <Meldekorttype xmlns="http://myhost.com/mk_print_meldekort.xsd"> <tag1>Value1</tag1> <tag2>Value2</tag2> </Meldekorttype>

Hi, I'm currently writing an XSLT Editor tool as part of a university project. I would like to know what those of you that use XSLT look for in an XSLT editor. Currently, the main features will be: - Load a DTD or schema, which is shown in a tree format, so that users can drag and drop desired XPaths into the .xsl text window. - Drag and drop xslt keywords into the text editor window. So for value-of, the following would be inserted....

Is there a way (tool, hack...) to create an XSL:FO from an XSLT + XML files? My motivation is that we want to use a tool to design reports, and from that "design" generate both HTML (via XSLT) and PDF (via XSL:FO). The only tool we have seen is Altova's StyleVision, which is very unfriendly (and uses a proprietary representation, SPS, from which it generates the various XSLs). We have considered instead using InfoPath, which is WYSIWYG,...

Hi Guys, I am using XSLT to render my XML dataset at the client side to HTML code. When I am trying to load the XslTransform with an Xslt file, it gives me the following error. >>>> The path is too long after being fully qualified. Make sure path is less than 260 characters.

I'm trying to select a subset of a WSDL document using XSLT and a simple text document describing the high-level elements to include. I have it working fine for selecting the services, bindings, portTypes, and messages to use. But I'm stumped on how to get the xs:simpleType and xs:complexType elements filtered properly. I am not trying to do this in a generic way. The WSDL is generated by a tool in our backend system, and I know a fair...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
