Where are they? I've looked, but couldn't find any specifically for Epress.

I'm currently experiencing a strange phenomenon: At my Office, Visual Studio takes a very long time to compile our solution (more than 1 minute for the first project). At home, Visual Studio compiles the same solution much faster (about 10 seconds for the first project). My home computer is only marginally faster than the one I have at the office (P4 2.53 vs. P4 2.4, same amount of RAM). On the slow machine, the CPU usage is very low,...

I'm new to c# and Visual C# Express, and to normal programming in general (some background in web programming), and i have a question vital to my current project. Basically, i have been asked to learn how to create new extensions for a web application, and turns out that i need to use Visual Studio and IIS together to do this. One of the first steps is to create a web service from within Visual Studio, using the ASP.NET Web Service...

Hi! I downloaded MS Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition, MS .NET Framework SDK v2.0, and MS SQL Server 2005. Subsequently, I bought MS Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition. 1) Are both the MS Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and the MS Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition used to develop .ASP applications?

So, what is the relationship between Visual Studio and Visual Web Developer. I find a lot of documentation on MSDN that presents Visual Web Developer as it's own stand-alone product (which I'd expect of the Express editions), but apparently there are NON Express versions of Visual Web Developer. Is Visual Web Developer only built-in to Visual Studio 2008 Professional? I see "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008" listed as an installed...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
