Hello I have a linked list of object of a class. I thought it would be nice to have the destructor delete the whole list when I delete just the first element. I don't want to recursivly destroy the list elements; the list is arbitrary long. Something like this: class ListElem { char Datum;

write a program that manipulates arrays of integers. The main program should call three functions: Insert, Delete, and Search. The Insert function should call a function Sort that sorts the array. Here is a description of the three functions: Insert: Accepts as input the array and the element you want to insert into the array. The function should insert the element at the end of the array and should call the function Sort to sort the...

Hello everyone, I remembered delete is implemented through operator overloading, but I am not quite clear. Could anyone recommend some links about how delete is implemented so that I can learn and refresh my memory? :-)

It seems that a gridview allows us to delete only a single row at a time. How to extend this functionality to select multiple rows and delete all of the selected rows in a single stroke? just like what hotmail web UI is doing now (having the option of selecting multiple rows (using the checkbox provided) and perform a set of operations on them)

Hello, I am receiving this error when trying to instantiate a webservice component. I have 2 development machines, both are XP sp2 with VS 2008 installed. On one machine, the code works fine. On the other machine I get the error upon instantiating the service client. I add the reference by choosing Add Service Reference from the project menu, and pointing to the remote wsdl file. I can't seem to find what the difference between the two...

I am currently using an Object element of type "application/x-mplayer2" to create a media player in ASP.NET 3.5, and was wondering if there is a better way to instantiate WMP in a browser. I'm hoping to find something with better cross-browser compatibility. I looked at System.Windows.Media.MediaPlayer in PresentationCore.dll but I'm assuming that is used for Windows Forms (WPF). I'm also looking at the Silverlight 2.0 MediaElement as a...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
