Node/Tag Finite State Machine

How would I illustrate a finite state machine that checks that each start
node/tag in an XML document has a corresponding end tag (ignoring nested
tags of the same type and assuming that there is only a finite set of tags)?

Hello, Although posted this a few weeks ago I still have gotten much feedback so I want to put this out again and see if the response gets a bit more interesting. I have been searching on the web for a while now for a specific Python implementation of an FSM. More specifically what I am looking for is a Python implementation of the so called UML Harel State Machine notion of a state machine. These are multi-threaded capable state

Hi all. I announce that there's a brand new, free FSM Generator in the Open Source arena: NunniFSMGen - release 1.0-RC1 http://nunnifsmgen.nunnisoft.ch NunniFSMGen is a java tool that starting from a transition table generates the corresponding FSM (Finite State Machine) in Java, C or C++ source code. It has been developped in 2003

When I compile with the -ansi option (using gcc 3.2.3) I'm warned of an implicit declaration of function 'finite'. Does this mean that finite() is not part of ANSI C, or that I didn't include a necessary header file? (I did include math.h.) Either way, is there a recommended way to check if a float or double is finite in ANSI C? Thanks.

I've been delving into finite state machines and at this time it seems that the best way to implement them is through an intense use of the goto statement. Yet, everyone plus their granmother is constantly cursing at the goto statement, accusing it of being some sort of spawn of satan. So it seems we have a pickle here. The thing is, at first thought it seems that there aren't any viable alternatives which are better suited for this...

I have spent some time googling and on wiki and came up with pyFSA in python. It may end up being useful, but it is not directly what I am looking for, as there is no GUI that I can see. I know about SMC, but it is not Python, and I can't find the gui. This looks good, but it seems to be in a Latin based language and I am linguistically challenged: http://www.ucse.edu.ar/fma/sepa/edt.htm

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
