Hi group
I'm fed up with the Altova Mapforce user forum because posts go missing
and it's slow.
Is there a group especially for vendor-specific topics/issues or are
these things ok in comp.text.xml ?
Cheers

You can try here if you want but if you are looking for expertise on a
particular tool then chances are you find that in a forum dedicated to
that tool.

Always those lame Stylus commercials. No information which could be
useful to the thread, just marketing...
Sorry, but somehow I don't like this (the postings).
Regards
I'll try here then. I'd hoped to find a more specific group but no luck
so far.

It's OK. You're not the only one who finds their crap here
annoying. Which is a shame, because it *looks* ontopic enough
that its author should be welcome here if he/she participated
instead of spamming. But perhaps that would just demonstrate
ignorance, and warn us off just as effectively as the spam.

While searching usenet (and the web) for references relevant to my
problem, almost half of the hits for "mapforce" were advertisement SPAM
from you guys.
These posts disrupt the functioning of usenet.
I'd never buy a product from a company which employs spamming as a
marketing strategy.
There you have it.
That's true. This is an additional point (getting not relevant hits on
searching). Maybe part of the strategy? This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Suppose I have two RDF files (and corresponding RDF Schema files) that are
used to store calendar appointment information using different (RDF)
schemas.
Can Altova mapforce (http://www.altova.com/products_mapforce.html) be used
to map the appointment fields in one RDF file to the fields in the second?
To do this, how do I create the XSD XML schema files that I think mapforce
requires as prerequisites?

Hi Group,
In Mapforce 2005 R3, when mapping to CSV with the "First row contains
field names" option UN-checked on the CSV target component settings,
the characters (hex) FF FE FF FE are inserted in the beginning of the
first line when running Java code autogenerated by Mapforce.
In the output tab of the Mapforce application, this problem doesn't
occur. I've not checked whether it occurs when running C#,C++ or XSLT
autogenerated code.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
