Hi,
I've created a little site for my sports club. In the root folder there are
pages that are viewable by every anonymous user but at a certain subfolder
my administration pages should be protected by forms authentication.
When I create forms authentication at root level it works but when I move my
code up to the subfolder I get this error:
Server Error in '/TestProjects/FormsAuthenticationTestingArea' Application.

Microsoft Sharepoint uses webdav to work with documents, so you can open a
document right there and upload it by just clicking the save button and it
seems that you are working right in the server and there is no need to save
the file in your computer in order to modify it.
I would like to have the same effect in my app, but the problem is that I
use forms authentication so the users do not have access to the server
directly(they are...

We use a .NET web application on one server that is using basic integrated
authentication and therefore getting the windows prompt for domain
credentials. These credentials are then passed to a sharepoint server so the
user can access certain documents, etc. We want to change the web app to use
..NET forms authentication so we can get rid of the ugly windows prompt. My
question is if using the forms based domain authentication will still...

Hi All -
I'm an MCAD and I've got a real head-scratcher here.
I've created a ASP.NET Web Application for a client that
essentially is a wrapper for SQL Reporting Services (they wanted a
custom security model). The application uses ASP.NET 2.0 and forms
authentication to lock down the site. I've used Forms Authentication in
the past and have never had the problem I'm about to describe.

I was advised by a Microsoft speaker at a local .Net conference that
"SharePoint" had a lot to offer for asp.net developers. I've spent a few
hours hunting down links on Sharepoint Services in Server2003 and also
SharePoint Portal Server Product. Whenever I try to learn the details of
what the SharePoint services have to offer for asp.net developers all roads
lead to a video, recorded in 2003 that has to do with "asp.net" and
sharepoint....

I'm using VS 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition to program an ASP.NET/VB web application. I have a SharePoint Services 3.0 site running on a Windows 2003 server. The site uses windows authentication. On this server I also have a site that uses anonymous authentication (ASP.NET 2.0). On the anonymous site, a user enters a username and password from a third party authentication store. I check if this is a valid account in the third party authentication store using a web service. If the account is valid, I search our AD to see if this...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
